What does the program entail?

A structured 24-week program designed for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students to explore, design, and pilot innovative solutions to real-world development challenges. Fellows are placed within one of the three Labs—Business Development, Policy Enhancement, or Community Development—based on their project track.

  • Conducts problem research, field assessments, and stakeholder interviews
  • Identifies root causes and maps opportunities for SDG-aligned intervention
  • Designs a project model using tools such as design thinking, theory of change, and feasibility analysis
  • Works with their Research Assistant and intern team to collect data, test assumptions, and refine prototypes
  • Builds a pilot-ready implementation plan with measurable impact indicators
  • Collaborates with partner organizations for feedback, co-design, or field validation
  • Prepares a final project portfolio, including research insights, prototypes, pilot data, and an impact strategy

Fellows receive ongoing mentorship, seed-funding pathways, and opportunities to engage with sector professionals, policymakers, and social entrepreneurs.

The Educational Masterclass Series delivers weekly practical sessions and expert-led discussions centered on the Lab’s core pillars—Innovation, Collaboration, and Sustainability. These masterclasses train fellows in design thinking, impact assessment, policy analysis, community mapping, project budgeting, and leadership for social change.
